Its That OSHA 300 Time Again

Its that time of year again. Time to fill out those exciting and intriguing OSHA 300 and 300A forms and summary. As a refresher, the OSHA 300 form is a log of all the injuries and work related illnesses suffered by employees during the previous calendar year. The OSHA form 300 can be downloaded directly from the OSHA site at www.osha.gov/recordkeeping. This form must be filled out each year for all but a few businesses in the US and records kept for a period of five years. Additionally an annual summary (OSHA 300A) must be posted with your other employee postings from February 1 to April 30 of the following year.

This all means that right now is a GREAT time to start checking to see if you’ve recorded all of your injuries and illnesses and filling out the annual 300A summary. The OSHA record keeping page linked to above has a lot of information as does the following article by our friends at Fisher and Phillips. Don’t hesitate to call us if you have any other questions.
