Cotton is moved from field to the gin in highly modified and specialized vehicles known as module trucks. As with any commercial motor vehicle, they must comply with various Federal and State motor carrier safety rules and regulations but they also have various exemptions and requirements that each state has prescribed. The attached document outlines some of those requirements. It is by no-means comprehensive but is meant to answer the majority of problems associated with regulation of module trucks and module truck drivers.
