This year’s state unit Pre-Season ginner meetings have been set. This year’s meetings will be the first two full weeks in September. North Carolina will be on September 7th at the Wilson Ag Center. South Carolina will be at a new location. It will be held on September the 8th at the Calhoun Country Club which is between St. Matthews and Cameron off of Hwy 176. Alabama will be held on September the 13th at the EV Smith Extension Center in Tallassee, AL and the Georgia meeting will be at the Georgia Museum of Agriculture in Tifton. We hope to get a preview of the work being done on the turn of the century steam powered gin at the Museum.

We will cover a number of issues at these meetings including Wage and Hour, Food Safety Management Act, OSHA activities, round modules and others. We will also hear from some affiliated organizations and any insurance representatives that can make it. We also give out the No Lost Time Accident safety awards at these meetings. If you didn’t have a lost time accident in the past 12 months, please make sure you sent in your form so that you can receive your award.

Sept 7th – NC/VA – Wilson County Ag Center – Wilson, NC

Sept. 8th – SC – Calhoun Country Club – St. Matthews, SC

Sept. 13 – AL/FL – EV Smith Ag Center – Tallassee, AL. (Begins with lunch at noon meeting follows)

Sept. 14 – GA – Georgia Museum of Agriculture – Tifton, GA

All meetings with the exception of Alabama’s will begin at 10 and conclude with lunch following the meetings. Don’t hesitate to call us if you have any questions.
