It’s OSHA 300 Time Again – REMINDER

It’s that time again. Nearly all employers (certainly all gins) must post a summary of the injuries and illnesses at their facilities by February 1 of the following calendar year. OSHA requires the OSHA 300 Summary be posted until April 30. It’s a bit after Feb 1, but you should check now to make sure you have it up.

Everyone should have the OSHA 300 form in their files. Right now would be a good time to download a fresh copy and start it for 2015. Keeping it as you go through the year is a good idea but you need to have them in your files for the past 5 yrs.

A certain number of employers each year in each NAICS category are surveyed and must produce the information from the OSHA 300 and EVERY OSHA investigation I’ve been involved with have asked for 3-5 yrs of OSHA 300’s.

The OSHA 300 form is fairly straight forward. You can download the form in PDF format as a fillable form or traditional pdf from the OSHA website.
