State Meetings Online This Year

The Coronavirus situation has really gotten in everyone’s way. Organizations such as ours are just as affected as most businesses are. Our State Meetings this year are no exception. We’ve decided to make them all virtual. Weighing potential exposure to our members, many of whom are in vulnerable populations, with the desire to get together is not a task we have taken lightly. Although the likelihood of exposure is low and the and the severity of Covid is mild for the majority of the population, it does have a very bad outcome for some. It is out of an abundance of caution that we have made this move.

We are going to conduct four Zoom calls just like we do the state meetings in person. Andy and I will give you updates on various topics ranging from Wage and Hour, to Covid, to Safety programs and anything else that comes up.

We will also be announcing the No Lost Time Safety Awards. These awards will be mailed to the recipients after the meeting since we won’t be able to pass them out in person. Please make sure you send in your form for the safety awards if you have not ASAP so we can get them right before we start the meetings. If you do not send them in, we can only assume you had an accident.

The meetings will be the last week of August (less than 2 weeks away).

Please follow the link at the top of the blog or CLICK HERE for agendas and meeting materials and Zoom Links as we get closer to the meeting.

This year’s meetings will be via the Zoom Platform. If you are unfamiliar with Zoom, just go to zoom.us and download the application. You will be able to follow the links on the 2020 State meetings page for your meeting and join. You can join via computer, or phone or many other devices. If you cannot join via the zoom application or program on your computer, you can use the phone number below the link for each meeting to call in in a traditional conference call format.

Finally, if you would like to try out your zoom app or ability to connect, you can reach out to me and I can set up a practice zoom meeting.
